Meet Dustin
Dustin Williams, L.M.P.
Dustin started his lifelong journey in Seattle at Cortiva Institute of Massage, where he studied a wide arrange of modalities all unique and helpful in their own way. Cortiva is also where Dustin learned the fundamentals and practical knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and pathologies prevalent to massage practice. What Dustin took away from Cortiva was not an affinity for a specific modality, but the idea that there were many ways of viewing the same solution, which was using massage as a therapeutic, rehabilitative and rejuvenating practice. Dustin started the next leg of his journey by fortifying his skills through practice, and he began studying with a drive towards bringing balance back to peoples bodies through mastering his technique and examining the tensegrity of the body. In 2011, Dustin's curiosity for the origins of bodywork led him to the study of traditional Thai massage, a practice of bodywork based on an ancient medicine theory of the elements; Space, Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth. It is a theory which penetrates to the heart of traditional Thai medicine, information for which is finally trickling its way into Western society. Dustin now studies Buddhist medicine to develop and further his understanding of the cause of suffering, and the best ways to utilize massage to reduce it for all sentient beings. As sole proprietor of Nuat Thai Healing Arts, Dustin eagerly anticipates new bodies to work with and new lives to change!
